The Penn State Center for Artificial Intelligence Foundations and Engineered Systems (CAFE) is hosting their AI in Engineered Systems seminar series this fall.
On Nov. 6 and Nov. 7, CAFE will host “AI in Robotic Systems: Research Showcase Part 1 and 2.”
Abstract: The event will showcase strengths in embodied AI systems in robotic platforms. The panel aims to identify collaboration opportunities with industry partners, academic departments, and research organizations working on AI applications in the built environment.
Each event will include a moderated Q&A.
The Nov. 6, Part 1 event, will take place from 3 to 4 p.m. in ECoRE 315. There is also a virtual option via Zoom.
Part 1 will include speakers Kundan Panta, mechanical engineering doctoral student; Jean-Michel Mongeau, Shuman Family Early Career Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Xiaogang Hu, Dorothy Foehr Huck and J. Lloyd Huck Chair in Neurorehabilitation and Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering; Minghui Zhu, Professor of Electrical Engineering; Herschel Pangborn, Shuman Family Early Career Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering; Katie Fitzsimons, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering; and Anne Martin Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
The Nov. 7, Part 2 event, will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in ECoRE 504. There is also a virtual option via Zoom.
Part 2 will include speakers Illya Kovalenko, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering; Mehrdad Mahdavi, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering; Bin Li, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering; Baxi Chong, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering; Donald Ebeigbe, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering; and Vijay Narayanan, CAFE Director and Evan Pugh University Professor.
