ICDS receives support for research efforts, tools and activities
Posted on October 28, 2025UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS) recently received philanthropic support from private industry partners, Salesforce, SHI International, Lenovo and Deloitte.
These gift funds will help advance the institute’s mission by supporting several activities within ICDS and associated research hubs. ICDS seeks to build the capacity to solve fundamental scientific and societal challenges through cyber-enabled interdisciplinary research. The gifts can be used, Cervone said, “to fund activities that most regular funding cannot support. They are extremely valuable, unfortunately rare, and will be used judiciously to support our mission and vision.”
