YOU’RE INVITED to join the National Science Foundation (NSF) CC* PA Science DMZ for the CyberAccelerate Workshop at KINBERCON on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lancaster County Convention Center. 

The NSF PA Science DMZ is a partnership between Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Penn State Institute for Computational and Data Sciences, Lafayette College, Swarthmore College, KeystoneREN and the Digital Foundry at New Kensington. 

This workshop, designed for research and IT professionals, features a number of Research Collaboration Breakout Sessions, training sessions and orientations on specific computational tools like PyTorch and Bridges 2, and more.

The NSF PA Science DMZ will also be hosting a student-focused poster session during KINBERCON on Thursday, Oct. 16. View details here.

To register for CyberAccelerate and KINBERCON: 

First, head to the KINBERCON website, kinbercon.org. If you’re planning to only attend CyberAccelerate events, which includes the CyberAccelerate Workshop on Friday, Oct. 17 and a student-focused poster session and KINBERCON Keynote Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 16, select the CyberAccelerate ticket at checkout. If you plan to attend Thursday KINBERCON events and CyberAccelerate events, select the KINBERCON + CyberAccelerate ticket.  

If you work or attend a PA Science DMZ institution as listed above, please use the code PADMZ at checkout, and costs will be reimbursed by the PA-DMZ. 

Attendees will also need to create a free SCHED account to register for KINBERCON and CyberAccelerate events. 

Traveling to this event? 

The NSF PA Science DMZ has a hotel room block at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square for $179 for a one-night stay, plus taxes and fees. On-site parking is available for $15 a day. 

If you attend or work for a PA DMZ-participating institution as listed above, your travel (transportation, lodging and parking) expenses can be submitted to Penn State after the event for reimbursement. Any food expenses will not be paid. Meals will be provided on Thursday (Keynote dinner) through Friday lunch as part of the CyberAccelerate registration.
