Wauthier named Associate Director of ICDS

Christelle Wauthier, associate professor of geosciences, has been named an Associate Director for the Institute of Computational and Data Sciences, effective April 1. In this new role, Wauthier aims to enhance collaboration between ICDS co-hires, especially those at the junior level. She also aims to grow interdisciplinary research. As a researcher herself, Wauthier has spent time tracking and mapping ground deformation of volcanoes with other ICDS co-hires and leadership.

Since the start of her Penn State career in 2014 as an assistant professor of geosciences, she has been an ICDS co-hire.

Wauthier said that, since the start of her career at Penn State, “ICDS has always been super helpful and supportive.”
